The Family Plan 2 [Movie Review] | Hello again. It's December and I love watching feel-good movies during the season.
I have been busy lately and didn't have the time to actually enjoy watching movies. I managed to watch this one during the break.
So, is it good or a snooze fest?

- Dan, played by Mark Wahlberg, sells used cars, and Jessica, played by Michelle Monaghan, gets a coaching offer in Columbus. It is a fun coincidence because Wahlberg actually owns Chevrolet dealerships in Columbus.
- In early drafts, Omar was set for an Interpol subplot, but it was cut to keep the story all about family drama and high-stakes action.

Three years after Dan ended his father McCaffrey’s violent legacy and locked him away, life seems to be moving forward quietly. Dan now runs his own private security firm, Jessica is coaching triathletes with growing success and Nina is studying abroad in London.
When Jessica receives an offer to join Ohio State University as a coach, the family suddenly faces the idea of relocating to Ohio. The timing feels strange to Dan, who already senses his family slowly drifting in different directions, especially now that Kyle is an independent young adult at eighteen.
Since Nina cannot return home for Christmas, Dan decides that the whole family should go to London. He cleverly combines the trip with a work assignment to inspect the security system of an international bank. In London, the Morgans discover that Nina now has a boyfriend named Omar, who immediately triggers Dan’s natural instinct to protect his daughter.
At the bank, Dan meets Finn Clarke, the man who hired him and instantly senses something suspicious. He soon realises that Finn does not want a security inspection at all. He wants Dan to unknowingly assist in a bank heist involving a digital key hidden in a deposit box.

Things become even more complicated when Dan discovers that Finn is actually his half-brother, the secret child of McCaffrey and their family maid. Filled with anger and resentment, Finn threatens to kill Dan’s family unless he cooperates. By this time, Finn has already kidnapped Jessica, just in case Dan is reluctant to assist him. A frantic escape follows and at one point Jessica is released by kidnappers with a gun taped to her hand, putting the whole family on the run.
Dan eventually hides the digital key and escapes with the family, including Omar. He explains that Finn wants access to McCaffrey’s powerful criminal network, which includes surveillance systems, assassins and a fortune stored in hidden servers. Determined to end the nightmare once and for all, Dan brings the family to his childhood home in Paris, which once served as the headquarters for McCaffrey’s empire.
The family seeks help from Dan’s former Russian intelligence contact, Svetlana Romanova. Although she briefly attempts to claim the bounty placed on Dan’s head, she ultimately warns them that assassins are coming.
What plan will the family devise to end another family member's plan?
