After a family tragedy that leaves Alma and her younger sister Mia orphaned, the sisters move to Surabaya, hoping for a fresh start. Their father left them without a trace and Alma believes that he left them for another woman.

Alma lands a job as the new manager of Sasmaya Apartments, a tall, eerie apartment building. The new workplace is also near her fiancé, Rayyan, a policeman.

Officially, the building only operates on floors 1 through 5. Whereas floors 7 through 12 are not open to the public and are locked.

What about the sixth? Level 6 is locked up and left to rot, according to the couple who run the place, Pak Aiman and Bu Wulan. But when a resident complains of a leaking ceiling, Alma and Mia are forced to investigate. Naturally, the leak leads straight to the mysterious unit 610 on the forbidden floor.

What they find is something straight out of a nightmare. Alma sees a pale woman with long hair and a creepy little girl lurking in the shadows. The woman whispers an ominous phrase in Javanese: “Petang dina, magrib” which translates to “Four days, sunset.” And just like that, the haunting begins.

Unbeknownst to Alma, her boyfriend Rayyan is investigating a string of mutilation murders, all of which seem eerily connected to the apartment. As Alma and Mia begin to experience supernatural terror, the pieces start to come together at the expense of Alma and Mia's lives.

Who is Ms K, the past tenant of 610? Why did she choose to haunt Alma and Mia?

MY REVIEW

What I Like:  

• The CGI is realistic and the horror parts are scary.

What I Don't Like:

• I just learned there is a part 1 - now I have to watch that one too.

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I will.
