After two decades locked away in a mental institution, Thomas (Tommy) returns to his childhood mansion, a sprawling estate now eerily silent after his father, a powerful senator, takes his own life. Bound by a house arrest order and required to check in daily through video calls, Tom has thirty days to prove he’s sane enough to stay free or risk being sent back.

Haunted by hallucinations of his late father, strange noises behind the walls and cryptic phone calls from a garbled voice, Tom questions what’s real. When he unearths a girl’s preserved tongue in a jar hidden near the mansion’s pool, he tries to dismiss it as another delusion until he discovers a secret network of tunnels and peepholes built into the house. His only comfort comes from Lynn, a kind market worker who delivers his groceries and offers fleeting warmth amid his isolation.

Everything unravels when Brody, his parole officer, visits. After a tense confrontation that turns violent, Brody storms off, taking Tom’s medication with her. Soon after, Tom realizes he isn’t alone. The intruder haunting his nights isn’t a ghost. It’s Alex, his estranged brother who has escaped prison.

While asking for assistance from Lynn, she asked about his history, Tom reveals that as teens, a cruel prank orchestrated by Alex ended in murder, one that shattered their family and sent Tom spiraling into madness. But Alex insists there’s more to the story and he’s back to claim what their father hid - money and secrets.

As the brothers clash, Tom stumbles upon a bunker beneath the house, filled with horrors that make his hallucinations seem merciful. There, he finds the truth his father buried, which is their mother, frail and mute, chained for years, the source of the haunting calls. Her missing tongue was no illusion, it was the one that he found in a jar.

But, are all these real? Or was it all in his head?
