- Originally titled as Ratu Sihir.
- The film draws inspiration from the centuries old Javanese legend of Bahu Laweyan, a curse said to doom every man a woman loves.
- Beyond his on screen role, legendary dancer Didik Nini Thowok also served as the film's cultural consultant, helping preserve the authenticity of its Javanese folklore.

Mirah is a woman whose life has been shaped by fear, heartbreak and rejection. According to an ancient Javanese belief, women marked with the mysterious Bahu Laweyan sign are destined to bring death to every man they love. Whether it is merely folklore or a terrifying reality, no one in her village dares to question the curse.
Mirah becomes its latest victim when her husband dies under mysterious circumstances shortly after their wedding. Overnight, the joyful bride is turned into the village outcast. The same neighbours who once celebrated her marriage now see her as the face of misfortune. Everywhere she goes, whispers follow. To them, Mirah is no longer a grieving widow but a woman who carries death wherever she goes.
Determined to leave her painful past behind, Mirah moves to another town and begins working at a wig manufacturing factory. She hopes for a fresh start, but her past catches up with her sooner than expected. One of the workers recognises her and publicly brands her as a cursed woman, warning everyone to stay away before tragedy strikes again. Once more, Mirah finds herself isolated, feared and judged for something she cannot control.

Feeling sympathy for her, the factory owner, Agus, offers Mirah kindness when no one else will. His compassion soon turns into love and he asks her to marry him. Believing that perhaps fate has finally given her a second chance at happiness, Mirah accepts. But just as she begins to open her heart again, history cruelly repeats itself when Agus also dies under mysterious circumstances.
As Mirah begins to lose all hope, fate introduces her to Bana, the warm hearted owner of a humble restaurant. Unlike everyone else, Bana refuses to see her as a curse. Instead, he sees a woman who has spent her entire life carrying a burden she never asked for. As their friendship slowly blossoms into something deeper, Mirah must decide whether she is willing to risk another life for the chance to love again.
Desperate to end the nightmare once and for all, Mirah sets out to uncover the truth behind the Bahu Laweyan curse. What she discovers is far more sinister than an ancient legend, revealing buried family secrets, long held grudges and hidden betrayals that have shaped her destiny from the very beginning.
Is there someone who is really behind her bad luck and will Bana become its next victim?
