Suzzanna: Bernapas Dalam Kubur [Movie Review] | I watched this one while I was en route to Taipei. Now that I've finally gotten over my fear of Suzzanna films, I guess it's time to watch them all.

• A Russian prosthetics team then transformed Luna Maya with remarkably accurate makeup, although some viewers felt the extensive prosthetics limited her facial expressions. 
• Although inspired by Suzzanna's classic horror films, the story is entirely original, with producer Sunil Soraya choosing a fresh plot over a scene for scene remake.

After years of marriage and countless prayers, Suzanna and her husband, Satria, finally receive the news they have been waiting for. She is pregnant and their future suddenly feels brighter than ever.

That joy is short lived when Satria is unexpectedly sent overseas for work, leaving Suzanna alone at their secluded home. His absence becomes the perfect opportunity for four disgruntled employees who harbour a deep grudge against him. Driven by resentment after their demand for higher wages is rejected, they decide to break into the house, believing they can carry out the robbery without anyone getting in their way.

Everything changes when Suzanna unexpectedly returns home earlier than expected. What begins as a simple robbery spirals into a horrifying tragedy that should have marked the end of her story.

Except it does not.

The following morning, Suzanna wakes up and continues her daily routine as though nothing unusual has happened. She cooks, cleans, speaks with those around her, and patiently waits for her husband to return. To everyone she meets, she appears completely normal. Yet strange occurrences begin to unfold, unsettling everyone around her while the four men responsible for that fateful night find themselves haunted by an overwhelming sense of fear.

As Satria returns home, he is blissfully unaware that something is terribly wrong. The woman he loves is still by his side, but an invisible darkness now lingers beneath the surface.

As one by one the four men fallen to their strange deaths, the villagers started questioning whether there is something dark going around, exacting revenge. 

In the end, who will realise it first and will it already be too late?

MY REVIEW

What I Like:  

• Luna Maya is committed to her character. 
• I enjoyed this one (as I didn't watched the original version). 

What I Don't Like:

• Some effects were a bit flimsy. 
• I knew Luna wore prosthetics for the role, but they seemed to restrict her facial expressions and limit the range of her performance.

Will I Watch It Again: Yes and I am already looking forward to the other remake of Suzzanna's movies. 

Overall: 4.2/ 5.0
