I watched this one while laying in bed, nursing my fever. Did I make the right choice?

Two decades after Emperor Shao Kahn brutally conquered Edenia and claimed its royalty as well as Queen Sindel and Princess Kitana as his consort and daughter, respectively, the stakes for the tenth Mortal Kombat tournament have never been higher.
Sensing a shift in the balance of power, the manipulative Quan Chi revives Kung Lao and Kano to tip the scales. Meanwhile, in Earthrealm, Lord Raiden and Sonya Blade attempt to recruit a washed-up, cynical Johnny Cage as their crucial fifth champion. Johnny initially refuses, but destiny has a funny way of forcing your hand when the fate of multiple realms hangs in the balance.
As the brutal tournament kicks off, the rules of engagement shatter. Sonya faces a corrupted Queen Sindel in a lethal showdown, while Johnny finds himself forcibly teleported into a match against Princess Kitana. Instead of a standard fatality, Kitana spares Johnny, unveiling her secret role as a double agent for Raiden. This spark of hope is short-lived. A devastating ambush leaves Raiden incapacitated and strips him of his godhood, binding Shinnok’s powerful amulet to Shao Kahn and granting the Emperor terrifying immortality.

Tragedy strikes the Earthrealm defenders in waves. Liu Kang is forced into a heartbreaking clash against a resurrected, dark Kung Lao and Cole Young falls brutally to the unstoppable Emperor. With the champions dropping one by one, Johnny, Sonya and a reluctant Kano must execute a desperate, multi-dimensional hail-mary. Kano reveals a game-changing secret: the source of Shao Kahn's immortality is hidden deep within the treacherous Netherrealm.
With Johnny’s hidden powers finally awakening and a reformed Jade joining the resistance, a chaotic, final-hour offensive ignites across dimensions. The final round of the tournament forces the remaining survivors into an all-or-nothing brawl against Shao Kahn's overwhelming forces, where the line between life, death and resurrection completely blurs.
Can the surviving heroes use a captured Quan Chi to resurrect their fallen champions or have they just unlocked a far deadlier trap?
