- It wasn’t originally a sequel. The directors had a separate sister story in mind, but it was later adapted into the Ready or Not universe.
- Kathryn Newton channels Buffy through Faith’s look, while Sarah Michelle Gellar nods to her iconic role with a familiar slaying move.
- Despite coming out seven years after the first movie, the story picks up without even a "five-second jump" in timeline.

Grace thought she had reached the end. The flames behind her said otherwise, but survival has a strange way of feeling unfinished. One moment she is crawling out of a mansion soaked in blood and secrets, the next she is waking up under harsh hospital lights, handcuffed, accused and still very much inside the nightmare.
No one believes her. Not about the family. Not about what really happened. And just when reality starts to feel more terrifying than the night she escaped, something else arrives to prove her wrong.
Faith, the sister she never quite reconciled with, suddenly appears in the hospital. Apparently, Faith is still Grace's emergency person to contact. Their reunion is not warm. Grace shares her story with Faith, who thinks she is making it up. But before long, someone else comes and gives her a visit at the hospital, killing the policeman who is supposed to book her at the station.
Grace soon learns the truth is bigger than one cursed family. The Le Domas were only a fragment of something far older, far richer and far more dangerous. The game did not end with her survival. It evolved.

Things really kick off when the all powerful Chester Danforth learns Grace survived. Just how powerful is he? In one darkly funny moment, he casually makes a call mid news broadcast and a war suddenly stops. That is the level he operates on.
He then sends a simple message that the game is in play, only to be abruptly killed by his own twins, Titus and Ursula. What follows is a reveal that the Le Domas were never alone. A network of elite families has been watching all along, and Grace’s survival triggers an old rule. The winner gets a shot at the throne. Total control of everything.
But it comes at a cost. Grace now has to survive another round, this time against the most powerful families in the world.
She and Faith are taken to the Danforth estate and released into a deadly hunt. Each family brings their own brand of chaos, from calculated snipers to unhinged heirs. Overseeing it all is a calm, almost amused lawyer laying down rules in a game where survival is the only currency.
Still, there is one complication she never planned for. Faith. Because protecting someone else in a game designed to break you changes everything. Every decision becomes heavier. Every move becomes riskier.
If winning means becoming exactly what she has been fighting against, is survival still worth it?
