Fountain of Youth [Movie Review] | I have no clue whatsoever about the movie, just that I saw Natalie Portman on its poster and just decided to watch it.
The poster gives ala Indiana Jones' vibe.

- The character Purdue’s father is named Harrison—a clear nod to Harrison Ford, the iconic Indiana Jones, whose legendary treasure-hunting adventures inspired much of the film’s tone and style.
- A portrait of King Henry VIII hangs nearby. Natalie Portman played his wife Anne Boleyn in The Other Boleyn Girl.

Luke, once a respected archaeologist along with his father and little sister, is now neck-deep in trouble. After stealing a rare painting from a dangerous Thai crime syndicate, he narrowly escapes on a train, only to be ambushed in his sleep by Esme, a mysterious woman with her own agenda. Luke’s quick thinking saves the painting and his life.
Meanwhile, in London, Luke’s sister Charlotte is juggling a messy divorce and a soul-crushing museum job. Her day takes a sharp left turn when Luke shows up, sweet-talks her over coffee, and uses the distraction to steal another painting. Before she knows it, Charlotte is pulled into his chaotic world.
At Luke’s hideout, they meet Owen Carver, a terminally ill billionaire funding Luke’s latest mission which is to find the Fountain of Youth, to heal him. Using clues left by their late father, along with six hidden masterpieces, Luke believes he’s on the trail. But when Charlotte confesses that their Rembrandt is a fake, the team dives into a risky salvage op to recover the real one from the wreck of the Lusitania that is now on the ocean floor. Esme shows up again, gun in hand. Luke barely saves Charlotte, but things only escalate from there.

Interpol and Thai gangsters soon converge on their London base. Luke cuts a deal, sparks a gunfight, and escapes by boat. Meanwhile, Charlotte learns her ex is working for Owen over in Japan and wants her to take their son Thomas. She likes that his son is now with her, but don't like the fact that he will not be seeing his father for the whole year he is in Japan.
The next clue lies in the cursed Wicked Bible. The team was at the end of their wit in deciphering the clues. Thomas recognizes the clues are actually musical notes and helps them with the clues. A musical cipher leads the team to the Great Pyramid of Giza. There, Owen’s true motive is revealed He’s not dying, just desperate to control the Fountain’s power.
What will happen when Owen manages to control the fountain?

MY REVIEW
What I Like:
- It's very straight-forward movie.
- Enjoyable and relaxing mode throughout the movie.
What I Don't Like:
- Yup, very Indiana Jones - minus the intensity and the problem-solving part, and lower budget.
Will I Watch It Again: I don't mind watching it with the kids.
Overall: 3.50/ 5.0
