The Experts [Movie Review] | After the amazing success of Sheriff: Narko Integriti, another movie that I am looking to watch is The Experts. I watched the trailer during the media showing of Sheriff and I saw glimpses of promises then. 

So, when Astro Shaw invited me for the premiere of the movie, of course I grabbed the chance. 

Was it as good as Sheriff or as I expected it to be?

Farid, the eldest in a family of five, has successfully planned a heist. They kept a low profile for a decade after the heist and lived anonymously, not spending any of the gold they had acquired to avoid getting caught.

Emma picks up Keyrol in front of the prison after he served a 10-year sentence for aiding his father in a robbery case. Upon arriving home, Farid tries to beg for forgiveness for not being able to help or even visit him while he was in prison, but Keyrol shrugs it off, saying it's all water under the bridge. Farid tries to share valuable inside information he learned during his imprisonment for their next heist, but Farid tells him that the family is clean and no longer involved in such crimes.

Not wanting to listen to Farid, Keyrol goes on a solo mission but gets caught red-handed. To secure Keyrol's release, Farid has to agree to assist a notorious gangster in planning another heist. This time, the target is a crowning ring owned by the top gangster in town. 

Farid once again plans a heist involving all his family members. Everyone has to bring their A-game to this heist, as their lives depend on it. Farid will be the maestro, Keyrol specializes in intelligence gathering, Emma is the manipulation expert, Amer handles disguises, and Lan is the hacking specialist.

A family gathering usually brings up history, one way or another. And this family has a very ugly and nasty history that might make or break the family bond—and also the mission.

Can the family withstand the trials of trust, family bond and power?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.5/ 5.0 It will not be fair to compare The Experts to Sheriff as the two are totally different from one another. Alongside the tagline Satu Rompakan Berkeluarga Terbesar, the movie seamlessly blends thrilling action, familial bonds, and comedy. 

I sensed the vibes of the series Leverage, the Oceans' films and the old Mission Impossible films in The Experts. And I loved it! Kudos to the writers and the producers!

Cast: 4.8/ 5.0 Great cast! Marvellous!

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I would. Anyone wanna come with?
