Heads of State [Movie Review]

Heads of State [Movie Review] | I was in a mood for a comedy and the cast on this one looks promising.

Let's see if I laugh or cry at the end of the movie.

MI6 agent Noelle Bisset leads a joint MI6-CIA team hunting down notorious Russian arms dealer Viktor Gradov during a high-stakes spy chase in Buñol, Spain. Somehow, they were set up and it quickly spirals into a global catastrophe.  It seems that he’s always one step ahead. In a brutal ambush, Bisset’s team is wiped out, and Viktor snatches access to ECHELON — a powerful Five Eyes surveillance tool.

The threat? Not just another intel leak. We're talking full-blown global exposure with every classified file, every covert op, every dark little secret held by the world’s most powerful nations, suddenly out in the open for enemies, allies, and internet trolls alike to dissect. One wrong move, and decades of trust, strategy, and diplomacy could come crashing down in the blink of an eye.

Meanwhile, across the pond, newly elected U.S. President Will Derringer, the ex-action star, lands in the UK for a tense first meeting with British Prime Minister Sam Clarke.

What started as their press conference quickly turns into a petty verbal showdown. To save face, their aides suggest a joint flight to the NATO summit in Trieste to show that they are united. They board Air Force One. Nothing could go wrong right? WRONG.

Viktor’s terrorists launch an aerial attack that cause the plane to blow up. Miraculously, Will and Sam parachute into Belarus. Presumed dead, they hitchhike to Poland, only to be ambushed again while seeking solace at a supposedly safe house. The safe house officer, Marty goes down while saving the duo. Luckily, Noelle makes a surprise comeback to save the day.

Now that Viktor has control over ECHELON, there's nowhere the duo could hide. The taken of ECHELON has chaos erupts across NATO

While traveling to Zadar, Croatia, the trio uncovers chat logs pointing fingers at Will’s aide Bradshaw.

All NATO members want out. Vice President Elizabeth Kirk could do nothing to hold the ship afloat.

Can the World be saved before it's too late?
