The Pope's Exorcist [Movie Review] | Frankly, when I saw the poster, all I see was Exorcist. Hahaha. So, another horror movie? Why not!

The movie starts with Father Gabriele Amorth evaluating a boy's condition, who was said to be possessed. After the evaluation, he says that it is a condition of personalities and not possession. 

Father Gabriele is the Chief Exorcist of the Vatican, who believes in evil interrupting human's lives, against the stand of the rest of the Vatican tribunal. The Pope trusts him.

Next, the Pope asks Father Gabriele to focus his attention on Henry, a young boy, who has supposedly been possessed by a demon unleashed while his mother was renovating an old church. Father Gabriele receives a support from a local priest, Father Esquibel and together they find that they are facing an ancient evil that has been kept a secret all these while, by the Vatican itself. 

When the tribunal is against his action, Father Gabriele have only Father Esquibel to assist him in assisting Henry and thus uncovering the mystery of age-old evil that was accidentally unearthed by Henry's mother during the renovation of an old church. 

Are they ready to face the old evil and possibly save humanities?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.7/ 5.0 Albeit there is not much jump scare scenes and the ghost/ evil are not visible, I kinda dig this movie. It certainly have The Exorcist's vibes in it and it gave me chills while watching it.

The actions are ok and entertaining. 

Cast: 4.6/ 5.0 I didn't know that Russell can be funny. But he is certainly committed to his character. And the other actors are great too. 

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, anyone want to come with?
