Plane [Movie Review] | I read about the hype of the movie online. So of course I have to check it out myself - the star of Angel Has Fallen flying a plane. 

Of course he'll ace it, right?

• The movie is filmed in Puerto Rico, not in Singapore or the Philippines. 

Captain Brodie Torrance is to fly through a storm from Singapore to Honolulu, via Tokyo. Among the passengers is Louis Gaspare, a fugitive homicide criminal. 

Midflight, the storm managed to outbest the pilots and they have to manually land the plane in the middle of nowhere. The middle of nowhere turns out to be Jolo island in the Philippines where Datu Junmar is the ruler. And no one from the Philippines would send a search party to the island, as Datu Junmar is an extremist and whatever he says, goes.

Brodie and Louis goes into the wood and Brodie manages to phone his office and his daughter, which was cut short by a rebel, whom later he killed. The duo races back to the plane only to see the crew and the passengers being herded into a bus before being taken away. 

The duo breaks into Datu Junmar's village and release the hostages. Before long, a military troop breaks in and kills the rebels before driving in the bus towards the plane. It turns out that Brodie's office has sent troops to assist the captain out of the island. 

Brodie and Samuel manages to make the plane operational again and tries to escape the island. But Junmar's army stands in the way of their freedom.

Can they make it home safely?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.2/ 5.0 Of course he'll save the whole team. The plot is predictable and simple. The storyline could have been better. 

Cast: 4.0/ 5.0 The cast is ok. 

Will I Watch It Again: No, I don't think so.
