New Investors Coming To Anzo Holdings Bhd

New Investors Coming To Anzo Holdings Bhd | As the global demand increases for medical gloves, more glove-making companies around the world are getting more orders. In Malaysia, Anzo Holdings Bhd is one of the companies that is making headlines for its current achievements - acquiring huge orders globally and purchasing new assets (among others).

Anzo has been trading at a high value for over 4 weeks now. Its average daily volume is more than 100 million shares.

Who wouldn't be interested in Anzo, which is set to record better earnings this year and remain profitable. Anzo's financial year ends on July 31, 2020 and looking at the way things are going on now, it is set to post a very high profit.

Apart from the RM1.3 billion copper deal, Anzo is turning to glove manufacturing and has already received an order from the United States and Europe to supply more than 2 billion pieces of medical gloves, valued at about US$200 million starting this year. Earlier, Anzo has acquired a glove manufacturer in Manjung, Perak for RM55 million with 9 production lines that can currently produce 1.2 billion pieces of medical or nitrile gloves a year. In a joint venture with Permaju Industries Bhd it will refurbish and expand the factory's production lines to 12 or 15, to meet the current orders from the United States and Europe.

Anzo is anticipating new orders to come in as demand for medical gloves continues to surge globally.

Then, in the midst of all these great news, CSTME Resource Sdn Bhd, a substantial shareholder in the company, suddenyly disposed of its share via the open market on July 8, 2020. It sold about 115 million shares at 23 sen worth a total of RM25 million after buying in at 13 sen on June 23.  The company walked away with plenty of cash in its pocket after selling the shares at 81 per cent higher than its buying price. The stock closed at 20 sen on July 10, with 91 million shares traded, after touching 26 sen earlier in the week.

WAIT? WHAT? WHY?

That's exactly the same questions that are currently in my mind. What will happen to the copper deal between Anzo and CSTME now that the latter (CSTME) has ceased to be a substantial shareholder?

An answer from any analyst about the walk-out of CSTME from Anzo is 'it is a normal transaction and business deal'. And it seems that investors are not bothered by the walk-out - they see more potentials in Anzo. I think they are expecting another limit-up by Anzo, in the very near future.

The reasons being for the unfazed investors are it seems that new substantial shareholders are coming Anzo's way. It could be from China, Hong Kong and also United States, as seen being trading actively in Anzo.

Back to the question what will happen to the RM1.3 billion contract - it will business as usual for Anzo and CSTME. CSTME is still supplying copper to South Korea for Anzo and will continue to do so for 40 months until the contract expires. CSTME agreed to buy birch/cliff copper scrap or berry/candy copper scrap from Anzo and export the products to the steelmaker in South Korea. Under the deal with the South Korean steel maker, Anzo is expected to supply 60,000 tonnes of copper scrap to CSTME at RM23,000 per tonne over 40 months.

So, that's all for today investor folks. Again, trade with caution.
