- Godzilla Minus Zero made history as Japan’s first film shot for IMAX, delivering a more immersive monster experience.
- Godzilla was redesigned with a slimmer, more agile physique and sharper dorsal spines for his battles with Ghidorah.
- To create Ghidorah’s terrifying roar, the sound team blasted creature sounds through speakers at a dam near Tokyo and recorded the echoes.
- While a third film remains unconfirmed, the creative team hopes to introduce Biollante, Rodan or Destoroyah in future instalments.

Two years after Godzilla was defeated and disappeared beneath the waters of Sagami Bay, Japan is still struggling to recover from the devastation of war and the monster's terrifying rampage.
It is now 1949 and former kamikaze pilot Kōichi Shikishima is finally enjoying some peace with his wife, Noriko and their adopted daughter, Akiko. However, their happiness comes with a worrying secret. Noriko has begun showing mysterious physical changes linked to the strange cells left behind by Godzilla.
Meanwhile, a new nightmare descends upon Japan.
A mysterious dragonlike creature suddenly attacks Matsumoto City, destroying buildings with powerful lightning blasts. Scientists investigating the devastation discover something extraordinary. The creature apparently arrived on Earth inside a meteorite before consuming wildlife and transforming into a monstrous predator. They name it Ghidorah.
With the country barely recovering from Godzilla's destruction, the arrival of another terrifying monster is the last thing anyone needs.

Kenji Noda assembles a team of familiar faces to confront the growing threat, while Kōichi volunteers for a dangerous mission to stop Ghidorah. Unfortunately, the creature proves far more powerful than anyone anticipated. Even their most sophisticated weapons barely make a difference.
And just when things cannot possibly get worse, Ghidorah evolves into an enormous beast with three heads, two tails and devastating powers capable of wiping entire cities off the map.
But Japan is about to receive another unexpected visitor.
Godzilla has regenerated and is making his way back from the depth of the sea.
Faced with two seemingly unstoppable monsters, the scientists come up with a desperate idea. What if Godzilla is the only creature powerful enough to defeat King Ghidorah?
However, their daring plan comes with dangerous consequences, especially when Noriko's mysterious connection to Godzilla becomes crucial to their strategy.
As Japan prepares for an unimaginable clash between two colossal monsters, Kōichi must confront his painful past while protecting the family he fought so hard to build.
Will Godzilla save Japan or unleash an even greater catastrophe?
