Haunted Universities 4 [Movie Review]

Haunted Universities 4 [Movie Review] | I watched the first three and they were entertaining.

Why skip this one, right? Especially when it promises four horror tales from universities across Thailand’s four regions: North, Northeast, Central, and South.

Let’s go!

The movie kicks off with White Bridge. Boss and Mild are the university’s power couple. Or at least, that’s what everyone thinks. On their graduation day, they head to the infamous White Bridge and throw their couple bracelets into the river. They had actually broke up long ago because of Mild’s controlling and childish behaviour. Mild, however, convinced Boss to keep pretending they were still together until graduation.

There’s just one problem: the White Bridge is haunted by the ghosts of a couple who died during their final ride together. Legend has it that these ghosts kill couples who end their relationships on the bridge, so they can be “together forever”. Now, Boss and Mild have to deal with the consequences of their little charade if they want to make it out alive.

Next is about The Concubine Villa, where fashion students Bew and Grace are both trying to make their mark in the industry. But beneath their friendship lies an ugly rivalry. One envies the other so deeply that she is willing to copy or do almost anything she does. When they get access to the rumoured-to-be-haunted Concubine Villa behind their university, they jump at the chance to shoot there.

But the villa has a way of bringing hidden desires and dark secrets to the surface. As their inner thoughts begin to materialise inside the house, their rivalry takes a horrifying turn and the villa starts claiming lives.

The third story takes us into the terrifying world of university orientation culture. At this university, the orientation and cheer rituals are taken so seriously that there’s a rumour: anyone who skips the first-day cheer session or fails to learn the cheer will receive a visit from a busload of dead seniors that night. And once the cheer ends, so do you.

One freshman misses the cheer-learning session. What happens when night falls changes his life forever.

And finally, we have the classic university horror story about the ridiculously cheap room for rent. This one happens to be pink.

Rumour has it that the room was painted pink to cover a deadly message carved into the walls by a university student who took her own life after being abandoned by her boyfriend. The gruesome story behind the room makes one wonder: is the cheap rent really worth it?

Which one of the stories you have heard about?
