- Nicholas Galitzine underwent a massive training regimen to bulk up as He-Man.
- The heroes' hands-on-hips, laughing pose perfectly mimics the original cartoon's signature animation.
- Marks the third time that Jared Leto has played a villain from a comic book after the Joker and Michael Morbius from Suicide Squad and Morbius.

In Eternos, the gleaming capital of planet Eternia, young Prince Adam and his best friend Teela spend their days training under Chief of the Royal Guard Duncan, Teela's father. When the sinister warlock Skeletor launches a brutal assault, King Randor and Queen Marlena are taken hostage. Duncan falls gravely wounded. In a desperate bid to save the crown, the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull flings young Prince Adam through a portal to Earth, his mother’s distant homeworld. She hands him the legendary Sword of Power with a final, haunting warning that he should never let it go, for it is his only compass back home. Naturally, Adam drops it on the way down.
Fast forward fifteen years. Adam is a corporate HR drone in Oklahoma City, living with his roommate Hussein and sketching feverish memories of a forgotten childhood. He is hopelessly stuck in the past, sketching feverish memories of a forgotten realm and oversharing every little detail about Eternos with anyone who will listen, even on disastrous first dates. This obsession keeps everyone at arm's length, until a random comic book shop visit change everything. Reunited with his lost blade, cosmic alarm bells instantly ring. Skeletor’s beastly lieutenants strike, but Teela, now a battle-hardened warrior, arrives just in time to extract him via starship.

Back on Eternia, home is unrecognizable. Dictatorship rules the landscape and the local resistance views this long lost prince as a total nobody. Tossed into a prison cell, Adam reunites with a broken, disillusioned Duncan and a reprogrammed service droid named Roboto. After staging a daring jailbreak, they rally a ragtag band of classic heroes. When Skeletor’s forces ambush them, Adam raises the sword, channels the ancient magic of Grayskull and transforms into a towering titan of justice.
Now alerted to the weapon's whereabouts, a furious Skeletor unleashes his entire army and his trusted counselor, the sorceress Evil-Lyn, on a ruthless manhunt. The chase triggers a tragic showdown at Snake Mountain, pushing the rebellion to a boiling point. Ultimately, the battle for Eternia’s soul moves to the very steps of Castle Grayskull. Blasts of magic collide, old friends fall and the legendary Sword of Power is shattered into pieces. In a final, horrific act of cruelty, Skeletor claims the broken blade and drives it directly into Adam's chest.
Is this the end of the prophecy or does the true power of Grayskull have one final twist?
