The movie revolves around Philip Goodman, a professor and TV host with a sharp disdain for anything supernatural. His main agenda in life is to debunk psychics and expose hoaxes, especially the ones that others think unnatural/supernatural. It’s more than just science for him; it’s personal. After all, in 1979, his strict Jewish father disowned his sister for dating an Asian man. That deep-rooted trauma set the tone for a life ruled by reason, not belief.

But Philip’s skepticism is put to the test when he receives a mysterious invitation from Charles Cameron, a legendary paranormal investigator who vanished decades ago. Now old, sick, and living in a rundown caravan, Cameron presents Goodman with three unsolved cases that, he claims, defy explanation.

The first case involves a night watchman named Tony, grieving his late wife and burdened by guilt over his paralyzed daughter, who is haunted by a ghostly girl in an abandoned asylum.

The second case is about Simon, a jittery teen obsessed with the occult, who hits a strange creature on a forest road. Later, he encountered a terrifying force in the woods.

The last case revolves around Mike, a suave financier, who is tormented by poltergeist activity while his wife is in labour. The tragedy escalates when she dies giving birth to what might not even be human.

While Goodman chalks each case up to psychological trauma, things spiral fast when Mike commits suicide mid-conversation.

Can he explain all cases or are they really defying logical explanation?
