Crew [Movie Review] | I have always love watching Hindi movies. So when Crew dropped on Netflix, I immediately watched it.

• The movie's plot is inspired by the shutdown of Kingfisher Airlines and its owner. 
• Tabu and Kapil Sharma are husband and wife in the movie. In real life, Tabu is a decade older than Kapil. 
• Currently the third highest-grossing Hindi film and the seventh highest grossing Indian film of 2024. 

Geeta, Jasmine and Divya are flight attendants with Kohinoor Airlines. All these ladies have their own struggling backstories.

Geeta has to financially support her husband's struggling food business and her unemployed brother, as well as his wife. 

Jasmine was raised up by her grandfather and loves expensive things. She fakes her life on social media by posting with beautiful and expensive things. 

Divya is a trained pilot but has to take up the job as flight attendant as it is hard to be a female pilot and she has education loans to pay too. She lies to her family about her being a pilot by dressing as a pilot before leaving the house and later changes into her flight attendant attire in airport. 

Kohinoor Airlines is on the verge on bankruptcy and the staff have not been paid in months, but the staff keeps hoping things will change. 

When Rajvanshi, a senior flight attendant dies on duty, the three finds out that he has been smuggling gold out of India to Al Burj. Taking this as a cue for them to take matters into their own hands, the three starts investigating and finds out that Mr Mittal, their HR Head is the kingpin of the operation. And now they want in!

Now that they are gold smugglers, their financial situation improves. Their changed lifestyles become the envy of other staff.

But thing changes when the customs officials were tip off about them smuggling gold. The three were detained, probed and humiliated over the incident. The officials didn't manage to get any information. 

When the airline is officially declared bankrupt and the owner fled to Al Burj, the three realised that they were smuggling his gold all along. 

With a new vigour and desperation, the three have to devise a plan to retrieve the gold and get what's theirs.

Will they finally get paid and get even?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.7/ 5.0 Sweet and twisted too. I love the plot. I could see a bit of the Eleven's movies and many other heist movies for reference in this one, but make it India. 

There's not full-length song-singing-dancing scene in this one. 

Cast: 4.8/ 5.0 Beautiful cast (literally beautiful cast) and talented too!
