The Childe [Movie Review]

The Childe [Movie Review] | With nothing much to do during the long holiday last week, my friends and I decided to have a movie marathon. After quite a let-down by Indy, we decided to watch a movie that's closer to home, a K movie, with a title that none of us familiar with.

Will the disappointment continues?

Marco is a boxer that is trying to make ends meet to help his ailing mother. He is a Kopino, a mixed of South Korean and Philippine parents, with his father being the Korean. He has a compulsive desire to always gamble, wishing that he'll win big to allow his mother the surgery that she needs to be healthy. He has been using his winning boxing money to buy medicines for his mother and to search for his father, both to no avail.

Suddenly, his luck seems to change. His father, who is apparently looking for him, has sent a representative to pick him up and bring him to South Korea for an urgent family matter. The representative has also set a nurse to take care of his mother while he is gone.

Naive and too deep in his family fantasy, Marco agrees and flies to see his father. In flight, he meets with a creepy guy who tells him things that are quite disturbing, and seems to know his life history too.

Upon his arrival in South Korea, the creepy-guy-in-the-plane, who is also known as 'Nobleman' continues to pursue him. Soon he realises that he is also being pursued by a wealthy heir who only wants him dead to that his father could stay alive and Yoon-ju, a girl that knocked him down in the Philippines, yet somehow reunites with him in South Korea.

Then she learns that Yoon-ju is a hired killer.

So, who can Marco trust? The Nobleman? The Heir? or The Killer?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.9/ 5.0 The movie keeps me guessing the twist, the killer and the cause until the movie ends. And my friends did the same too, and all failed to guess the why!

Good plot and beautiful twists.

Cast: 4.9/ 5.0 The cast is great! The Childe is creepy and scary.

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I would.

The pictures are taken from multiple sources on the Internet. Thank you.
