Don't Listen [Movie Review]

Dont' Listen [Movie Review] | Last weekend, I stayed in a hotel for a night for workcation (is there such a thing - work and vacation?). I got to enjoy the bathtub with a luxurious bath that I have been longing to have.

And later that night, I watched Don't Listen (Voces) on Netflix, just because I felt like it.

The movie starts with Eric, a little boy having a session with his psychologist, explaining to her about his behaviour and that he hears voices, urging him to draw things. The psychologist brush aside his explanation, saying that it is normal for children to cope with new environment by making up stories about voices. As she leaves, Eric hears voices via his walkie talkie and he starts drawing a sharp branch with blood dripping on it.

The psychologist dies in a horrid accident after a fly flies in into her ear, causing he to lose her control over her and collides into a tree and she dies with sharp branch punctures her face.

Daniel and Sara, the parent, loves buying old houses, renovates them and sells them off. With this one, the family realises that there are flies coming out from one hole in the wall, but Daniel keeps on covering the whole, thinking nothing about it.

One fateful night, Daniel finds Eric in the pool, and he is too late to save the kid. The parent mourns the death of their kid, and Sara goes away from the house, in search for peace and to mourn her son. Daniel stays at the house.

After experiencing weird occurrences in the house, Daniel seeks the help of German and his daughter, Ruth, about the voices that he keeps on hearing around the house, thinking that it might be Eric, reaching out to him.

After spending their time in the house and setting up devices to hear the voice and to see the 'entities', German and Ruth learn that the house might be the cause of the disturbances and the bad luck that befalls on Daniel's family.

Will Daniel listen to German and Ruth's advices about the house? And will any of them find the answer to their questions?
