Sea Food Craze @ Crab Factory

We Malaysians love our food very much. Apart from sports, another thing that will get Malaysians together is about food. Of late, our food has evolved and become more interesting by the day.

When I was invited to review a new recipe at Crab Factory SS2 Petaling Jaya, I was more than happy to accept the invitation.
Looking at the menu, I found out that Crab Factory caters to all kind of guests here. If you are eating with a friend or two, Crab Lover Set is the best for your small entourage. If there are more than 4 of you, the Crab Party Lover set would suit your group the best. And if you have up to 9 people for lunch, Crab Lover Giler set will certainly fill up all of you just nicely.

The Gang

Our group was served Crab Lover Giler set that comes with 2 sauces. The set will be divided into 2 - each one with an individual sauce. The first one comes with Signature Southern Bang Sauce with Cheesey Topping. The second part will be bathed with Salted Egg Sauce.

What comes with the set? It just like the seafood heaven opens up and all the great seafood delicacies fall on earth!

#1 Set with Signature Southern Bang Sauce

The first set with the Signature Southern Bang Sauce with Cheesey Topping comes with 2 Meat Crab XL, King Whit Prawn, Squid Mussels, Hamaguri Clams, Corn and Broccoli. Whereas the one with comes Salted Egg Sauce with 2 Meat Crab XL, Mini Lobster, Freshwater Prawn, Jumbo Sweet Prawn and Corn. We were also given Fried Chicken Wing, Fried Mantao, Fried Squid Tentacles and Shallot Rice as additional items. The sauce is spicy and the cheese topping somehow balances out the spiciness of the sauce. Now I get why they put the cheese on the topping of the sauce.

#2 Set with Salted Egg Sauce

As someone who doesn't deal nicely with spicy food, I opted to finish out the set with Salted Egg Sauce. I ate the seafood with mantao and the rice. Who cares about calorie counting here? I left those at the door. Hahaha.

With Jamba-Jamba Sauce

If you want more, choose Ala Carte where add-ons will be weighed in. We added on Shell On set that comes with Freshwater Prawn with Jamba-Jamba Sauce and Cheseey Topping. You know that Jamba-Jamba Sauce is Spice because it comes with Cheesey Topping to cancel out the spiciness of it. 

The aftermath

Here's a tip when you order in at Crab Factory SS2 Petaling Jaya. Enjoy all the seafood first - you can always eat the add-ons and the drink after you have completely satisfied with your seafood helpings.
