Qorin 2 [Movie Review] | I walked into this film with zero expectations.
Was choosing to experience it on the big screen actually the right call?

- The bullies’ elite backgrounds highlight how power often shields wrongdoing. Makmur’s job symbolizes how society ignores hard truths until they overflow.

The movie starts with Fitri caring for her ailing mother and vows to be a good teacher as her mother was. Rijal, her younger sibling goes to the school where she is working at, but doesn't seems like they have a great sibling relationships.
There is Makmur, who is a garbage collector, a single father doing his best to raise his only son, Jaya. Their life is modest, but it is honest. That fragile peace shatters when Jaya becomes the target of relentless bullying at school, led by Darma, the village head’s son. What begins as intimidation escalates into physical violence and psychological torment, leaving Jaya scarred in ways that go far beyond bruises.

Fitri, the school’s guidance counselor, senses something is deeply wrong. She becomes the lone voice willing to question the system. When the school administration dismisses the case to protect its image, Fitri takes matters into her own hands. Her quiet investigation leads her to a horrifying discovery. People connected to the bullying begin to die, only to reappear the next day as something else entirely, shadowed by a darker presence that mirrors their human form.
Meanwhile, Makmur’s frustration curdles into desperation. His official complaints are ignored. His pleas are brushed aside. The message is clear: the institution must be protected, even if a child suffers. In that suffocating silence, Makmur makes a fateful decision.
What happens when justice fails and grief seeks power elsewhere?

MY REVIEW
What I Like:
- A good way to talk about the bullying issue that people tend to sweep under the rug with words 'they are growing children - let them play' and 'no harm done with kids playing' until it is too late.
What I Don't Like:
- Some actors were quite stiff.
Will I Watch It Again: I would but not on my go-to list to watch
Overall: 4.0/ 5.0
