The movie starts with a throwback of family movies, one depicting a small girl enjoying time with her parents up until the mother is hospitalised. The small girl is Bea and apparently, her mother passed away of cancer. She now lives with her father.

On current day, Bea is moving in with her grandmother in New York as her father is hospitalised and waiting for his heart surgery. It is the same hospital where her mother was hospitalised.

Going through her childhood items in her closet, she comes across an old camcorder. She goes out to buy a charger for the camcorder. On her way back, she sees a strange creature, follows it back to her grandmother's apartment.

The next day, she sees the same creature, this time with a man. She follows the duo to a nearby house where she sees the man rescues a large furry purple creature named Blue. As she turns around, she meets the strange pixie-like cartoon creature that she has been following and faints.

She wakes up in the man's apartment, who she now knows as Cal. The pixie-like creature is Blossom and Blue lives there. And they are imaginary friends, also known as IFs. To be exact, the ones that has been forgotten by their human friends when the human grows up. Cal and the others have been working to place the forgotten IFs with new children or else they will be forgotten and vanish from the world.

Cal brings Bea to a retirement home where the IFs community has been living while waiting for new placement. Lewis, an elderly teddy bear that runs the facility helps Bea to hone her ability to assist the new placement.

Bea tries to place the IFs with Benjamin, a young boy she met at the hospital. The placement failed as Benjamin cannot see any of the IFs.

But when she realises that the only way to save the IFs is to reconnect them with their now grown-up human, Bea strives to find the grown-ups and re-introduce them to their IFs.

Will Cal and Bea success in their mission to save the IFs? What will she find at the end of the mission?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.5/ 5.0 I would say this movie is about self-discovery journey of Bea. Everyone faces with different obstacles growing up and Bea is conflicting with her own journey.

A simple movie with a heartfelt message - it is never too weird to not grow-up. Well, I still have the playful desire of a 12 - year old. Hahaha.

Cast: 4.6/ 5.0 An amazing cast that delivers.

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I want to watch this with my nieces and nephews.

The pictures are taken from multiple sources on the Internet. Thank you.
