Abigail, Horror, Thriller, Movie Review by Rawlins, Rawlins Lifestyle, Rawlins GLAM,

Six criminals are promised $7 million each to kidnap a teenager ballet dancer. The kidnapping part was smooth. They brought the dancer to a secluded mansion where they meet their mastermind, who prefers to be known as Lambert.

Lambert reminds them not to use their real names or disclose any background stories about themselves to each other or to Abigail, the kidnapped dancer. He gives them make-up names, allowing smoother communication.

Joey - a recovering drug addict and fomer Army medic,  Frank - a former NYPD detective, Sammy - a wealthy hacker, Dean - a troubled driver, Rickles - a Marine sniper and Peter - a mob enforcer.

Their only job now is to babysit the kidnapped dancer for the next 24 hours - while waiting for her father to pay the ransom. Joey is the only one allowed to check on the chained Abigail in the bedroom.

The team tries to bond, unsuccessfully. Then everybody goes on doing their own thing to kill time.

Frank goes into the bedroom to ask Abigail who is her father. When he learns that Kristof Lazar, the feared crimelord is her father, he immediately wants to flee the mansion. He shares the information with others and urges everyone to leave too. But the home's security system somehow activated and locks them inside. Not soon after, Joey finds Rickels mauled to death while looking for an exit. Facing and forcing Abigail to reveal who is her real father and if there is a way for them to just escape the mansion, Abigail reveals her real self in front of the group. Abigail is a vampire!

The group runs for their lives. When all the foretold tactics to kill vampires failed to harm Abigail - a bullet, garlic, stakes and cross - Joey suggests to use a tranquilizer as it managed to keep her in sleep before, when they kidnapped and transferred her to the mansion.

They managed to tranquilize Abigail and lick her in an elevator. Sammy is bitten and now she worries that she might turns too.

Abigail tells them that they were tricked to kidnap her as Lambert sets them up - as per Abigail's request as all of them have wronged her father.

Can the team kill Abigail and leave the mansion wealthy? Or will they lose everything?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.6/ 5.0 I must say that this one is a fun movie to watch. Don't bring the kids as the script is full of profanity.

I thought I knew the plot but the twist towards the end was good. I love the fact that the movie focuses more on Abigail - not on the others as it really share so little background about the team.

Scary? Not so.

Cast: 4.7/ 5.0 Everyone delivers.

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, it would be fun to watch this one with my screamer friends.

The pictures are taken from multiple sources on the Internet. Thank you.
