Sisu [Movie Review] | During the Eid holiday, I keep on seeing rave reviews about Sisu. My curiosity gets the best of me and I watches it.

Set in the late 1940s during the Lapland War, Aatami Korpi, a veteren vows to never get involve in the war anymore and stays in the wilderness, just minding his own business while mining for gold. When he finally discovers a huge deposit of gold, he collects them all and sets his way home, hoping to gets a huge cash for it, I assume.

Along the way, he comes across a troupe of Nazi solders, who has scorched everything on their way. They also has some women in one of the trucks, to keep themselves entertained on their way home. The first troupe ignores Aatami. But the second group starts to taunt him and when they discover a huge deposit of gold on board of his horse, they wants to execute him and take the gold. Aatami kills them all and gets on his way. The sound of machine guns attracts the first troupe and they turn around to investigate, only to discover the lifeless bodies of the troupe. 

The manhunt for Aatami starts. Aatami stumbles on a minefield and his horse steps on one of the mine, killing the horse but amazingly Aatami was only bruised. He gathers his gold and tries to outrun the troupe. He detonate one of the mines and runs far away from the troupe. 

Later, the troupe learns that Aatami was nicknamed Koschei, meaning 'The Immortal One' by the Russians - a Finnish commander who has lost his family in the war and was set to kill as many Russians as he could, on his one and seems to never die. 

Not letting the tale to hinder them from hunting Aatami, the troupe get dogs to sniff and hunt after him.

The troupe fires at him with machines, gets dogs to hunt him and even dive into the cold lake t o kill Aatami, but he seems immortal.

What will it take to kill Aatami? Is he really immortal?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.8/ 5.0 Explained by chapters, the plot is easy to follow and you'll understand the character development. 

Full of action, gore and violence. Even I had to shield my eyes at some points!

Cast: 4.8/ 5.0 Don't recognise any of them, but all were great!

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, why not!
