The School for Good and Evil [Movie Review] | As soon as the movie drops in Netflix, I immediately sat down and watched it as I was intrigued to watch it since I viewed the trailer.

Will it be different from Harry Potter?

Evil doesn't cooperate, Evil doesn't share. That's what Rafal said to his brother, Rhian during a fight when Rhian discovers that Rafal has found Blood Magic and wants to tip the balance of Good and Evil towards him, Evil. The brothers have lived long in balance (Rhian is Good and Rafal is Evil) and together they created a school to keep the balance between Good and Evil in the fairy tale world. Rafal falls to his death during the fight.

Years later, a friendship between two unlikely friends in the land of Galvadon. Sophie, a girl with a beautiful hair lives with his father and a mean stepmother, loves to read, design fancy gowns and talk to animals. And yes, she dreams of becoming a princess since small.

Agatha, lives with her mother and a hairless cat in the middle of the forest, concocting potions that never works.

Both were bullied by the villagers when they were younger and naturally, both found comfort and solace in each other's presence, so together they vowed to be friends forever.

Together, both girls discover a book about the School of Good and Evil, which makes Sophie longing to be admitted to the School of Good, because she believes that she is Good and is a princess material.

When a giant weird bird picks up Sophie, of course Agatha fights to not letting her only friend away. The bird takes both away and soon as they see the castle figure from afar, Sophie is already living her dreams.

Somehow the bird drops Agatha at the Good School and Sophie at the Evil School. Both knows that they were wrongly placed and starts to look for ways to change school. But both are advised to stay put as the school never makes mistakes in placing the students.

Agatha and Sophie are rebellious, so none of these advises stick.

While finding ways to change schools, both discovers their inner desires and true nature. Their friendship was put on test during the journey.

What will they find along the way, and will they like it?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.5/ 5.0 If you are an avid fan of Harry Potter, you'll find any other school of magic movies too bland for your taste. Yes, you'll feel that you are watching a softer version of Harry Potter in this one.

But I am loving some fresh breathes in the movie - not so much action. But the script is a bit lacking too, I think.

All in all, a fun movie to watch with your kids.

Cast: 4.5/ 5.0 There are so many A-listers in the movie, but some were with very minimal lines. Perhaps there will be a sequel and they will come with more lines in the next one?

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, a fun movie to watch with family and friends.

The pictures are taken from multiple sources on the Internet. Thank you.
