Emergency Declaration [Movie Review]

Emergency Declaration [Movie Review] | I do not know why I was looking forward to watching this movie as I think I have Aerophobia. I always feels anxiety as the plane is about to take off or land, or when it is airborne and going through clouds/ turbulence.

But one has to face their fears right?

Detective In-ho hears about a man planning a terrorist attack on a plane. He investigates the rumour and comes across a body in Jin-seok's house. From there, the team realises that Jin-seok is planning to release a virus in a plane - which plane and to which route, nobody knows.

Jae-hyuk, a former pilot is on his way to the US with her daughter, Soo-min, in their search for Soo-min's severe eczema solution. They encountered Jin-seok in the toilet where Soo-min witnesses Jin-seok hides something under his pit. From there, it seems that Jin-seok follows the duo and even buys ticket to the same destination as them.

Meanwhile, on land, In-ho reports the rumour and it reaches Sook-hee, the Transport Minister, who takes the claim seriously. She sets up a counter-terrorism taskforce and the team uncovers chilling backstories about Jin-seok.

Jae-hyuk sees Jin-Seok in flight and suspects that the man is up to no good. He reports Jin-seok to the crew who thinks nothing about his complaint.

When one of the passenger dies mysteriously, Jae-hyuk suspects that Jin-seok has something to do with the case and has him reprimanded immediately. The land team alerts the crew and they questions Jin-seok about his action. Jin-seok confesses that he wants the whole plane to die with him.

The whole plane erupts into panic.

With no country willing to allow the plane to land and the virus spreads quickly on board, can the whole plane survive the virus attack onboard?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.6/ 5.0 The characters build up were quite ok. Some characters were developed beautifully, you know the backstory and all but some were killed halfway.

The twist with no land policy by countries were heart-breaking to watch, especially when even Koreans doesn't allow the plane to land in South Korea.

I literally cried and hyperventilated during the turbulent scene - that's what I hate the most while flying.

Cast: 4.4/ 5.0 Some characters were developed beautifully, some were done halfway. I would say everyone delivered.

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I would - but I am sure I will still feel the same level of anxiety watching it.

The pictures are taken from multiple sources on the Internet. Thank you.
