DC League of Super-Pets [Movie Review] | Yeay! Another superheroes animation! Of course it is a must watch for me.

We all know about the story how Superman/ Kar-El ends up in Earth. But do we know that when his parents send him off, his puppy friend, Krypto was also inside the capsule?

Yes, Krypto accompanied Kar-El in the capsule after it was launched by his parents when the planet Krypton was destroyed. 

Years later on Earth, Krypto and Superman live and save lives in Metropolis. Both has their identities as Clark and Bark Kent. Krypto is happy as his superhuman, always spends his time with him. When Clark falls in love with Lois, Krypto feels a bit neglected. 

Now wanting Krypto feeling left out and leaving him alone when he's out with Lois, Clark heads to an animal shelter, trying to find a friend for Krypto. There, Krypto comes across Ace, a dog who has been trying to escape the shelter but always fail. 

Later, while stopping Lex Luthor from reeling in an orange kryptonite which famed to give special powers to the its owner, the duo gets help from the Justice League and thus, fails Lex's dream. 

Lulu, a guinea pig tested by Luthor and currently in the animal shelter manages to reel in a piece of the kryptonite. Apparently the kryptonite gives power to animal and not human. Lulu gains power and burns the animal shelter. Whereas the other animals in the shelter also gain superpowers: Ace is super strong and indestructible, PB, a pig, now cam shrink and grow her body, Merton, a turtle, now becomes super fast and Chip, a squirrel, gains electrokinesis. 

At the same time, Clark and Bark have an argument as Clark intends to go out on a date with Lois, leaving Bark alone. As he leaves the house, Clark comes across Lulu, who manages to out-best Clark using a green kryptonite. Lulu also laced a piece of cheese with the kryptonite, which Bark eats and later loses his power. 

In his bid to safe Superman, Krytpo comes across the group of the newly super-powered shelter animals - who are clueless as to what to do with their powers. 

Lulu has also managed to capture the Justice League with her gang of super-powered guinea pigs. Now she intends to release Lex from the prison and then together, get rid of the Justice League along with him.

Can the newly super-powered shelter animals help Krypto with his mission?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.8/ 5.0 The plot was very entertaining. My friends and I also realised that there were a few lines that were in Manglish in the early parts of the movie. 'Can do lah, it is like that lor, tolong, can jer' were some scripts in Manglish in the movie. 

Was it done for Malaysia's market only? A nice touch lah. 

Cast: 4.8/ 5.0 A great cast. I was shocked to learn that Keanu is Batman.

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I want to watch it again.
