The Princess [Movie Review] | I came across the trailer for The Princess and I must admit that it got me pretty excited to watch the all girls warrior movie.

So, naturally, when it dropped, I watched it.

• Joey is The Princess in this movie and she is also the Prince in Bullet Train which is being released at almost the same time.

The princess wakes up in a tower. Groggy when two guards enter her chamber, she puts up a fight when the men wants to take her. She kills both men and starts her way down the tower to save her family.

Apparently, her castle is attacked by Julius, the tilted son of a diplomat that was supposed to marry The Princess. As per the olden years, when a kingdom has no son to become the heir, the princess is to be married off to a prince to rule the kingdom.

In this story, Julius despises the way the King rules the kingdom peacefully as he believes that a 'strong' king should rule with an iron fist. When The Princess left him at the altar, that adds up to his hatred towards the royal family and he seizes the family so that he could marry the Princess by force and take the throne. 

But the Princess has been secretly drilled and trained in the fighting arts by Linh, the niece of her father's advisor. Of course the Princess puts up a fight. 

Along with Linh, the Princess makes her way to rescue her family. But Julius' armies are ruthless and his whip-wielding henchwoman is one tough cookie to take down. 

How will the Princess takes down Julius and saves the kingdom?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.0/ 5.0 Yeah, the plot is predictable and quite flimsy. The fighting sequence could be a little bit tighter and the script could be a little bit polished, but all in all, it was a fun movie to watch. You should expect a lot of fighting scenes from the get-go and expect a lot of gory and bloody scenes too. 

Cast: 4.5/ 5.0 Yes, everyone delivered though a better plot and script could elevate the movie. 

Will I Watch It Again: I don't think so. It is a fun movie to watch but forgettable.
