The Whole Truth [Movie Review] | This is another movie in the twitter thread that catches my interest. They said that it is worth watching - for me it is because Keanu and Renee are in it.

Richard Ramsey is defending Mike, the 17-year old kid of his friends', Boone and Lorreta Lassiter in court. Mike is alleged to have murdered his father in his parents' bedroom. 

Richard tends to help Mike and Loretta win the case. The only trouble is, Mike has not utter a single word since the day his father was murdered. To assist him in the case, Richard employs Janelle Brady, a daughter of his friend. 

With all the witnesses sharing what a loving and attentive father Boone was to Mike, it seems that all evidence is showing that Mike has in fact, murdered his father - not out of self-defense or accidental killing. 

Janelle is known as a 'bull-sh*t' detector as she can detects when someone is lying - based on their body language, however swift or small it is. She tells Richard that some witnesses might potentially lies when  they testify.

Neighbours who were called to the stand testify that Boone is one rude husband and a very protective father. There were occasions where Boone would verbally abused Loretta and the neighbour's kid have seen when he was physically abused her. 

Loretta testifies that she endured verbal and physical abuse by Boone, including the day of his death. She was coming out of the shower when she saw Mike over Boone's corpse, and he admitted that he did it. Photos of evidence of Loretta's bruised body were later shared.

When Mike finally decides to talk, not to Richard but on the stand, he admitted that he killed his father because he can no longer endured the sexual abuse by his father. He shares that his father has been sexually assaulted him since he was 12. He killed Boone as Boone wants to have his way with him one last time before Mike enters college.

More revelations come forth after Mike's revelation. And it seems that everyone agrees that Mike killed Boone because he was defending himself.

But Janelle senses that Richard has something to do with the whole case.

Will Richard be able to save Mike? What is the connection between Richard and Mike?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.8/ 5.0 I certainly did not see that coming, as the plots were thrown towards  the end of the movie.

Cast: 4.9/ 5.0 It is Renee and Keanu, yáll!

Will I Watch It: Yes, I would.
