Blacklight [Movie Review] | Wow. Another Liam Neeson's movie. Anything with Liam in it, I will certainly watch it.

But the poster looks kinda familiar eh?

• Principal photography of the film started in November 2020 in Melbourne, Australia. In January 2021, it was announced that a car chase scene would be filmed in Canberra.

Political activist Sofia speaks at a rally before later returns home in a taxi. As she comes out of the vehicle, another vehicle knocks her down while her driver just looks at her at does nothing. After making sure that Sofia is dead, the driver that knocks Sofia speed off, before her taxi speeds off too. It was an apparent assassination. 

Travis, a veteran, who is currently works for FBI by bringing back agents in tight situations and places. As he wants to spend more time with his daughter and grand-daughter, he tells the Director of FBI that he's resigning, but the proposal was rejected. Instead, he was given another assignment - to bring in Dusty Crane, another fellow agent. 

Dusty contacts Mira, a journalist to share his information about Sofia's death. Travis finds Dusty when he was about to meet Mira. Dusty and Mira breaks off the meeting, leaving Travis struggling to trace Dusty. 

Later, Dusty sets another meet up with Mira. This time, Travis follows Mira and just as he is about to capture Dusty, he runs off again before he was shot on his track by two men. 

Now, Mira and Travis wants to collaborate to ascertain the cause of Dusty's death. A project called 'Project Unity' comes up during the information sharing. 

Travis confronts his boss but was told that the information is beyond his pay-grade and he should not interfere. 

When his family goes missing, Travis knows that he has to stand his ground and uncover the ugly truth. 

What is Project Unity and why is people being killed over it?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.0/ 5.0 No new recipe or formula in this one. Just the plain same old, same old formula where Liam goes after bad guys who disrupts his family's happiness.

The script was shaky and the action were too 'choreographed'. 

Cast: 3.6/ 5.0 Liam was ok. The others were kinda bringing him down. 

Will I Watch It Again: No, thanks.
