Z [Movie Review] | It's the month of October and we all know what it means. More ghoulish, horror and too-much-jump-scare movies are coming up. 

And I like it! I've watched the trailer and I think the movie will satiate my hunger for a good horror movie.

Elizabeth is a stay-at-home mum that really mothers her 8-year-old son, Joshua. Joshua is a timid kid with very little to none friends at school and feels exactly at home when he is ... at home... alone. He has one friend, and that is by his parents' arrangement - he shared the ride to school with the kid. 

When Joshua wants his parents to set the table for his friend, Z at the dinner table, they were happy that Joshua is making friends, albeit imaginary. While tucking Joshua to sleep, Elizabeth is happy that Joshua finally is able to sleep in the dark, with his door closed, unlike earlier when he wants the door to be opened while he was asleep. 

Their family's psychologist calms the parents when they referred Joshua to him 'it's normal for kids to have imaginary friends', he said. 

One day, the ride to the school stopped. And Elizabeth got called to Joshua's school just to be informed that Joshua is expelled indefinitely due to violent behaviour and harsh language. 

In her bid to spend more time with her son, Elizabeth brought Joshua to an entertainment park, where she saw a glimpse of Z. She started sensing that Z is not a great figure to befriend with as her son's behaviour becomes even creepier. 

As she started to investigate and unearth stories about Z, she learns the horrible history and truth about Z. 

Why is Z latching to Joshua and will Z ever let go of his new friend?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 3.0/ 5.0 The movie started really great. You could see the loneliness of Joshua and you understand why he needs an imaginary friend. 

And then you want more of Z - which was left unattended. And then it ends. 

If it was not for the First Act of 3, I would have gave the movie a 2/ 5 point.

Cast: 3.5/ 5.0 The actors gave great acting especially 'Joshua' - he delivers.

Will I watch it again: No. Thanks.
