The Naked Gun [Movie Review] | I grew up watching The Naked Gun series - and I loved all of it. 

Now, when Liam Neeson stars in the latest one, of course I have to give it a go.

• Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson reportedly began dating during the promo tour, with Neeson “intrigued and smitten” from the start, winning over fans with their real-life chemistry. 

Lieutenant Frank Drebin Jr. is not your average LAPD cop. He'll do anything to ensure his case is solved, including dressing as a schoolgirl while taking down a gang of armed bank robbers. Unbeknownst to him, this daring stunt was just a distraction for someone else to steal the mysterious P.L.O.T. Device (Primordial Law of Toughness device) from a safe deposit box. 

His boss, Chief Davis, decides Frank is too much and reassigns him before lawsuits start piling up.

Meanwhile, Frank visits his late father’s memorial, asking for a sign, specifically an owl, to show Dad’s approval.

A fatal car crash involving a software engineer at Edentech named Simon Davenport catches Frank’s attention. Everyone calls it suicide, but his sister Beth, who is a crime novelist, insists otherwise. Frank brushes her off, but a clue at the crime scene, a matchbook, sticks in his mind.

Richard Cane, Simon’s billionaire boss at Edentech, gifts the police a self-driving car, which Frank immediately turns into a rolling disaster zone. During a meeting, Frank realises that the matchbook holds the same logo as Richard’s nightclub.

Behind the velvet ropes, Richard reveals his evil plan: use the stolen P.L.O.T. device to turn humanity into raging barbarians, wipe out the population, and let billionaires live it up in bunkers.

The plot thickens when Frank learns Simon owned the deposit box containing the P.L.O.T. Device at the bank that was robbed. Frank breaks into the nightclub to access security footage. But instead of applause, Frank gets suspended.

Soon, Frank is framed for murder. Richard intends to clear the loose end by taking over the self-driving car ride and driving it into the sea along with Frank inside it. Franks survives the assassination attempt. Later, he discovers Richard’s planning to unleash the P.L.O.T. Device during the New Year’s MMA Ball Drop at the Ponzi-scheme.com Arena.

Will Frank be able to thwart Richard’s evil plan?

What I Like:  

• Yeay for the good old time style comedy, just like the ones that I watched growing up.  

What I Don't Like:

• None

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I would.
