- DreamWorks Animation's 49th theatrically released film, and 51st overall.
- This is the first DreamWorks movie to feature animation work by Sony Pictures Imageworks.
- The zero-gravity and gold-magnet scenes were the hardest to animate due to complex effects.
- Many of Snake and Piranha’s funniest lines were ad-libbed, leading to unscripted comedy that made the final cut.

Life after prison is never easy. Wolf, Snake, Shark, Piranha, and Tarantula quickly discover that society isn’t ready to welcome ex-criminals with open arms.
Job applications? Failed (especially when Wolf tries to apply for a job at the bank that he has robbed three times before). Public trust? Non-existent.
To make matters more complicated, Snake keeps disappearing. Wolf is also spending a lot of time with Diane, the former Crimson Paw who is now the Governor, with no one knows her past life, except for the Bad Guys. He’s an ex-con, she’s a politician, so there has to be some restrictions.

Determined to prove they deserve a second chance, Wolf joins forces with Commissioner Luggins to hunt down the Phantom Bandit, a mysterious thief no one can track. The trail leads straight to Snake who is busy dating Susan. Just when things can’t get messier, the Bad Guys crash a lucha libre wrestling event to expose the real villain, only to be framed again. Yep, public enemy status restored.
Before they can clear their names, they’re kidnapped by a new trio of femme fatales: Kitty Kat (who is the real Phantom Bandit), Pigtail Petrova, and Doom - who is also Susan.
Kitty Kat and the gang wants to steal the MOON-X rocket and use it to magnetize every ounce of gold on Earth. Oh, turns out Kitty has the receipts to blackmail Wolf into helping by keeping Diane's video of her past life a secret.
Can The Bad Guys win the public, get their love life and capture the villain, while saving the world?
