• This fifth installment in the Mad Max series acts as a prequel and spin-off to 'Mad Max: Fury Road' (2015), focusing on Imperator Furiosa and set 15 to 20 years before the events of 'Fury Road'.

Furiosa and Valkyrie are out picking fruit, way off of their camp when they stumble upon the Raiders. The Raiders just discovered the Green Place, the camp where Furiosa and the others are living. Furiosa attempts to sabotage their motorcycles but gets caught red-handed. They captures her and wants to bring her as a prize to Dementus, their leader. Mary, Furiosa's mother pursues the Raiders, killing all but one raider, who leads her to Dementus' camp. The last raider delivers Furiosa to Dementus but she manages to attack him before he could reveal the Green Place's location.

Mary sneaks into the camp and rescues Furiosa. When the Raiders give chase, Mary asks Furiosa to continue home while she attacks the Raiders to buy her time escape. Furiosa returns for her mother anyway and Dementus captures her again and forces Furiosa to watch her mother being fatally tortured. Dementus adopts Furiosa, hoping that she will lead him to the Green Place.

Dementus and the Biker Horde's initial assault on the Citadel, a settlement with vital resources, is thwarted by Immortan Joe's War Boys. Shifting tactics, they seize Gastown, a key oil source, striking a deal for resources and hostages with Joe. Meanwhile, Furiosa, imprisoned among Joe's wives escapes using her wit, disguising herself as a mute boy and rising through Joe's ranks over years to build the formidable War Rig.

When Joe targets Gastown due to Dementus's failures, chaos ensues. Furiosa and Jack narrowly survive an ambush and subsequent pursuit, culminating in a brutal encounter where Jack meets his demise. Furiosa, displaying immense courage, escapes captivity, setting out on a path of vengeance against Dementus.

How will Furiosa out best Dementus and regain her freedom? Will she ever find the Green Place again?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.6/ 5.0 It is full of action, for sure. One blink and you'll lost the plot. So many twists in the movie and those keeps me guessing 'What's next?'.

What I Like: The cast were great. I love Anya is kicking butts in the movie. And in the end, there are scenes to show how all these connects to the previous movies. 

What I Don't Like: If you are not an avid Mad Max fan, this movie could be a long movie to watch. 

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I would. Now I want to rewatch the rest of the Mad Max movies again.
