• The movie "Vina: Before 7 Days" is based on a real-life incident. 
• As reported by detikNews, Vina's ordeal took place in Cirebon Regency, West Java. Vina and her partner, Eky, were discovered deceased on the flyover bridge in Kepongpongan Village, Talun District, on Saturday, August 27th, 2016.

Vina just had her hair done at the hair salon owned by Linda's aunt. Linda is her best friend. After which, they go to see a street show where her sister, Marlyana suppose to pick her up after the show. Unfortunately, Marlyana's bike malfunctioned so both Linda and Vina decide to ride the ojek home. They however decide to ride with Deden and his friend, Zaki who happens to be also at the show. Zaki agrees to send Vina home as they live near to each other.

After dropping off a parcel, Vina and Zaki continues their ride home. Unbeknownst to them both, a motorcyclist gang follows them and upon reaching a flyover, starts attacking them both. 

The next day, their lifeless bodies are found by the roadside and the police concludes that they are the victims of road accident. 

Her grandmother cannot accept the fact that Vina is dead and notices weird cuts on Vina's body with her hand and leg broken - cuts that are not natural to vehicle accident. 

Linda, feeling guilty that she did not insisted to ride the ojek home with Vina, did not go to her funeral. 

On the third day after Vina's burial, Linda is possessed by Vina's spirit who insisted to only talk to her family and will not leave Linda' body until her request is met. The family arrives and Vina shares her horrid ordeal that leads to the death of Vina and Zaki with the family members. Marlyana records the conversation with the possessed Linda and shares it with Dani, a horror story enthusiast and also a reporter, who later put in on his Youtube channel. 

The motorcyclist gang, Doomriders, hide when they learn about the recording. Egy, the brain of the torture upon Vina, happens to be the son of a high-ranking policeman, urges his friends to hide while his father sends him somewhere else to hide him too. 

No matter where he is, Vina's spirit seems to be able to find her. 

The police force requests to exhume Vina's body to have a post-mortem on the body. Once they have all the evidence, the police starts raiding the gang. They managed to capture 9 out of 12. The balance, 3 of the perpetrators are still at large until now, including Egy. 

Can 'Vina' settles her worldly unresolved matters within 7 days? 

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.8/ 5.0 From what I read online about the case, the movie is made to be as true as it can be to the real case. 

I closed my eyes at some points as the scenes are too real and gory. And I pray that there will be no more Vina. I pray that they will capture the rest of the perpetrators soon. 

Cast: 4.8/ 5.0 Great cast with very convincing performance. 

Will I Watch It Again: I would but I don't have the heart to hear the begging and the crying again.
