Argylle [Movie Review]

Argylle [Movie Review] | With so much hype online about Argylle, whether Taylor Swift is involved in the movie and that it is a spy movie (with Henry Cavill in it), of course I have to watch it.

Elly is a very celebrated spy novelist is in the midst of finishing her fifth book - a spy novel revolves around the missions of Argylle character. She shares the draft with her mother who urges her to add another chapter detailing the final mission in the book, to entice her readers. Instead of allowing her mother to visit her, she decides that she takes the train to visit her mother. Elly is afraid of flying.

On the train, a stranger approaches her and admits that he is a fan of the novel. Suddenly, the whole coach is full of spies who is trying to kill his newly-met fan, who introduces himself as Aidan. And somehow, all these spies also intend to kill Elly.

It turns out that there's a spy organisation, known as the Division, that is targeting Elly as her novels seem to be predicting the organisation's moves.

Putting her trust and live in Aidan's hands, the duo travel to England, as her next chapter seems to direct her there. It turns out that there are also agents waiting for them in England and their every move is being watched. Suspecting Aidan wants to kill her, Elly calls her parents to meet her in England.

Elly meets her parents. Aidan comes in and tells her that her parents are agents from the Division - they have been acting as her parents to know her every move.

Escaping her 'parents', Aidan and Elly escapes to France, where they meet with Alfie, former CIA deputy director. There, Elly learns that her real name is Rachel Kelly and Argylle is actually her. She was literally sharing about her past missions in her novels.

And in her latest novel, she is about to reveal the whereabouts of the Masterkey that could bury the Division.

Can Rachel/ Elly and Aidan bury the Division? And who is Argylle, that keeps on appearing in front of her?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.5/ 5.0 The plot was a bit twisted, as we are also learning about Elly's past along with her throughout the movie.

You need to stay for a post-credit scene. You'll be blown away by it.

Cast: 4.6/ 5.0 I love the cast. Aidan is not your typical spy - totally different from what we used to watch all this while. Haha.

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I want to watch it again.

The pictures are taken from multiple sources on the Internet. Thank you.
