The Beekeeper [Movie Review] | When I saw the trailer, I got the feeling that this is one gonna have the vibe of the Equalizer series.

Well, did I guessed wrong?

• This is the fifth film that Jason starred in 2023. 

Adam Clay is living a quiet life in a garage of Eloise's, a retired school teacher. He also keeps bees and Eloise is thankful for that as the bees keep the area lively. 

One day, Eloise falls for a phishing scam that robbed her of over USD2 million, most of the money belongs to a charity organization that she manages. Devastated, she takes her own life. 

Adam comes over to have dinner with Eloise, only the find her lifeless body. Verona, Eloise's daughter immediately arrest Adam upon finding Adam beside her mother's body. Adam is later released when the death is ruled a suicide. 

Verone shares the information about the scammers that robbed her mother has been under the FBI's radar but no arrest has been made so far as the group is hard to track. 

Adam contact the Beekeepers, a mysterious organization, to find the group's information. Upon receiving the information, Adam goes to the building and scares the employees off. He warns all of them prior to setting up the building to flames. Mickey, the leader of the scammer at the building contacts his superior about the loss. Derek Danforth, the leader tells Mickey to handle the problem. Mickey takes thugs to follow Adam to handle him. Instead, all of them were killed by Adam. Adam then warns Mickey that he is coming after him. 

Feeling threatened, Derek asks for assistance from Wallace, the former head of CIA, who is currently the head of security for Danforth Enterprises. Concerned, he contacts the current CIA director hoping to stop Adam. The director contacts the Beekepers, who learns that Adam is no longer an active Beekeper, thus sends an active on to deactivate Adam for good. Instead, the active Beekeeper is also killed by Adam. 

Meanwhile, Verona is also following the crime scenes left by Adam very closely. First, because it was personal for her and two, she is one committed FBI officer. She intends to stop both Adam and the scammer. 

Adam keeps on pursuing Derek.

Turns out, Derek is the son of the current President of USA and the president, his mother, employs a whole team of the best mercenaries to guard his son's life. 

Can either Adam or Verona have their vengeance?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.6/ 5.0 True, it has the Equalizer vibe in it. But the action is this one is far intense from the Equalizer. The action keeps on coming that you'll be entertained through out the movie. 

Cast: 4.6/ 5.0 Everyone delivered. And I just can't believe myself when I started hating Josh in the movie - such a d*ckhead and spoiled brat!

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I don't mind watching it again.
