Locked In [Movie Review] | I watched Locked In just to kill time. It was listed as horror, so, I watched it without any expectation.

The movie starts with a nurse nursing an ill person, trying to assist the person to blink as a way of communication. And the person spells MURDER. The nurse ask 'who is trying to kill you?'.

Lina comes in and tells the nurse that the ill person is her mother-in-law, who was also her adoptive mother, Katherine.

Katherine is a stepmother to Jamie, who is always ill and has seizures when he was small. After his father died, Katherine takes care of Jamie. 

As Lina's mother is Katherine's best friend, Katherine took Lina in and adopted her when her mother died. 

Growing together, Jamie always depends on Lina to care for her. And this continues until they are both adult, and almost automatically, they wanted to get married, despite Katherine's disapproval. 

Now, Lina has to wholly care for Jamie after their marriage, as Jamie grows more dependant on his medications, including to painkillers. 

Robert, the family's doctor and Jamie's friend, starts whispering ideas to Lina that she has now become a caretaker and servant to Jamie rather than a wife. The relationship turns into more than just friends and now Lina wants to leave Jamie, to which Jamie is not willing to let her go.

The duo concocted a conspiracy and managed to carry out their plan by drowning Jamie in a boating accident. 

Now Robert wants Lina to sell the house, get the money and run with him. Lina refuses as she still respects Katherine. 

Can Lina run from Robert's grasp?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.3/ 5.0 A wonderful plot that deserve a better direction. The movie becomes draggy at the middle of it and the resumes it mystery pace towards the end of it. 

The plot twist is sweet!

Cast: 4.6/ 5.0 Beautiful performances. 

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I don't mind watching it again.
