Nightmare [Movie Review] | I came across the movie by chance. As I am always in the mood for a horror movie, so I give it a go.

The tagline intrigues me 'Not all nightmares are over when you wake up'. Scary, right?

Mona and Robby are a young couple very much in love - Robby has his steady job and now both has just bought a new apartment, albeit that it is a little bit run-down and never mind that the previous owner, a pregnant lady, died in the apartment. Both intend to renovate it and live their happy lives there together.

Not long after, Mona starts to feel the pressure of renovating alone as Robby has to work all the time. The pressure greatly amplified when her neighbour is constantly fighting with their baby screaming nonstop. 

And the fact that Robby is eager to start a family doesn't sit right with Mona's priority in life. 

All these leads to Mona having trouble sleeping. When she sleeps, she is plague by night terrors, which gets more intense every time she falls asleep. She researches and assumes that she is having sleep paralysis and seeks assistance from a sleep clinic.

The doctor tells her that sleep paralysis causes by Mare, a nightmare demon. And in Mona's dreams, Mare disguises himself as Robby and he visits here every night.

Her condition worsens as she is now sleep walking and hurt others while doing so.

She is also now pregnant, but she doesn't want the baby.

Will she be able to fight the demon and have her life back?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 3.5/ 5.0 The plot could have been better. The movie has promise but I got lost while watching it. Is she sleeping? Is she awake?

And the matter-at-hand was not being developed beautifully - is it her? Is it Mare? Or is she mentally challenged?

I guess the director wants us to discover that ourselves.

Cast: 4.0/ 5.0 Don't know them but they're ok. 

Will I Watch It Again: Probably no.
