The Croods: A New Age [Movie Review] | The movie was in 2020. How did I not see this back then? Then I see that it is on Netflix. And I always love cartoons.

• This is Nicolas Cage's 100th film acting credit. And his very first animated sequel. 
• The biggest box-office opening since the COVID-19 pandemic started. 

Guy's parents died when he was very young. Following his parents' advise, he travels towards 'Tomorrow'. Along the way, he meets Belt, another loner who he make as his companion. Then he meets Eep and her family, the Croods. 

Guy and Eep immediately fall in love and this annoys Grug, fearing that Guy may take away Eep from the pack. His fear intensifies when he learns that Guy wants to have their own 'tomorrow' without the pack. 

The whole group tumbles upon a huge and tall wall. As they make their way through the wall, they immediately loving the world beside the wall. The land is full with food and fruits and the whole pack immediately eat almost everything on sight. 

Not soon after, the whole pack is caught in a net. The land owners, Phil and Hope Betterman soon releases them. Phil and Hope immediately recognises Guy, who his parents were their friends. The Bettermans bring the Croods to their tree-home and introduce them to Dawn, their daughter. 

Guy and Dawn instantly remember they were friends before. Eep instantly befriends Dawn as both has never have girl friends before. 

Grug dislikes living with the Bettermans, but the rest of the family are enjoying their stay there - no more sleep in a pile, fighting for food or fighting other predators. 

Phil and Hope have other idea in their minds - they want Guy to stay and fell in love with Dawn, then later they will make the Croods leave their house without Guy. 

Phil manipulates Grug into believing that Guy should leave the pack so that Eep could stay with her family. Hope tries the same manipulation on Ugga, but fails. 

Eep bring Dawn exploring the world outside the wall, which Dawn has never seen before. When they returns later that day with Dawn get stung by bee, her parents were horrified. Guy insensitively calls Eep as a 'cave-girl' for taking Dawn outside the wall. 

Not soon after, the land is attacked by punch-monkeys as the banana offering was gone before the monkeys could take them. It was eaten by Ugga and Grug who love banana so much. In return, the monkeys take Phil, Guy and Grug as prisoners. 

Who will save the guys? And who will save the relationships?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.7/ 5.0 The plot was entertaining. The issues shared in the movie are similar to ours too, and beautifully advised that we are to communicate with each other, rather than using physical or keep the issues inside. 

Cast: 4.8/ 5.0 Beautiful cast. 

Will I Watch It Again: Yes, I think I will be watching The Croods again.
