When four-year-old Amanda was missing and believed to be abducted, the whole Boston neighbourhood becomes a media frenzy. Helena, Amanda's mother keeps on begging the public to help her find her daughter and the girl's aunt and uncle, Bea and Lionel are always behind her.

When the police don't seem to be helping much, Bea and Lionel seek Patrick, a private investigator that finds missing persons and asks for his assistance. Patrick and Angie, his assistance and also his live-in partner, use their street connection to find the girl. They find out that Helena and her boyfriend have been mulling drugs for a Cheese, a Haitian drug lord.

The duo has recently stolen some $130,000 cash from Cheese too. The duo pairs up with two detectives, look for Ray and after finding Ray has been murdered, the group decides to meet up with Cheese and get the girl back.

Cheese denies any involvement with Amanda's disappearance. Later, the group receives a telephone transcript of Cheese calling into the station to set up an exchange for Amanda with the cash and insists that only Patrick will be meeting with Cheese.

In the meetup, Cheese was killed in a gunfight and Amanda is believed to have fallen from the cliff into the pond and drowned as her doll, Mirabelle was found floating.

The police head of Boston, Doyle was forced into early retirement following the public outcry over the mishap.

Two months later, during another abduction case, Patrick kills the child molester when he sees the abducted boy dead. Later that day, one of the detectives confides in him that he has once planted evidence on an abusive husband to help the man's wife and son escape with the assistance of Ray. Patrick remembers that both detectives mentioned that they didn't know Ray.

He starts digging around and he realises soon enough that he is in the middle of a huge lie.

Will he keep on digging, even if it'll cost him his relationships?

Plot: 4.8/ 5.0 I thought I know the answer halfway in. Then I realised there was another plot. And then another. It was at the end of the movie only I realised the real plot. Wow!

Cast: 4.5/ 5.0 Believable - there are some who were better than the others but were given minimal roles in the movie. Perhaps, trying to put Casey in the limelight.

Will I watch it again: Not anytime soon.

The pictures are taken from multiple sources on the Internet. Thank you.
