The Intern - Movie Review

The Intern
Thanks +ChurpChurp for the invitation to the Churpremiere of The Intern, starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway.

The movie was not in my list of movies to watch, as I thought it will make you cry at the end of the movie and that is certainly not the way I want to start my week with.

SYNOPSIS
Jules Ostin, a self-made successful online entreprenuer and the owner of an online shopping shop, About The Fit (ATF), is a workaholic and her employees think that she is quite impossible to work with.
Jules in a meeting
Always on the go
Ben is a widower and retired man with more than 40 years of experience in marketing, currently looking for ways to break his routine of doing nothing. When he saw an ATF ads seeking Senior Intern, he quickly grabbed the chance and nailed the interview. Ben was assigned to be Jules' assistance for the next six week.
Jules was a bit appalled by the idea of working with someone older and of greater experience but was ready to set the example to her employees. She tried her best not to let their paths cross so Ben found himself without nothing to do.
Wondering whether she could work with someone so old
Being a very resourceful man himself, he started offering advice to help everybody in the office and in no time became Mr. Congeniality. After an incident where Ben drove Jules to her meeting as the driver was a bit drunk, Jules found that Ben is easy to be around with and she started to let her guard down and soon enough, she love the idea of having Ben around.

Jules like to be in control and when her investors of proposed the idea of hiring a CEO for ATF, Jules was torn between her visions to develop ATF to further success and her dreams in making her marriage work.
A shoulder to cry on
Will Ben be able to help Jules in the office and also in her personal life?

MY REVIEW
Plot : 4.8/ 5.0. The movie turns out to be of a more relaxed manner and not as heavy as I thought it would be. There were a few jokes thrown around during the whole movie and I was glad that I decided to watch it. The plot is clean and very family-oriented, not in a boring way as it explores the idea of the family in the technology era.

Penghayatan : 4.9/ 5.0. You cannot go wrong with Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro. Great actors!

Will I watch it again : I would not mind watching it again and will certainly buy the DVD.
