Increase Your Child’s Immune System and Growth with Diffenz Junior

Increase Your Child’s Immune System and Growth with Diffenz Junior | Looking at my nephews and nieces (albeit via FaceTime as I am living in KL and they are in Sarawak), their happy faces reminded me of those years when nothing really matters – except for time to meet with friends and playtime. Oh. Not forgetting breakfast, lunch, dinner and teatime too. How I wish I could turn back time and be a little kid again, with no need to worry about work, financial and other matters.

But, I do not have a time travel machine, do I? I think for me to relive my happier kid time is to let my nephews and nieces enjoy their growing up – with love and care, as much as I possibly could give them.

The pandemic Covid-19 that has been ravaging the whole world for the past two years has impacted our lives, one way or the other. Kids and children included. I remembered feeling stressed from being in a series of lock-downs as almost everything was shut down – malls, offices and schools. The lock-down certainly has changed our routine and normal livelihood. The same goes for the children – no more going to schools and no more playing at the playground with others. Some opted to play with their siblings within the house compound, some resorted to their gadgets. But all these can last only for some time. Over time, even us adults grew restless of being locked down. And all of us need to get out from the lock-down.

Growing up is the most important phase in one’s life, I would say. The parents or the guardians would want to spend extra time and spare extra attention to them during the phase as whatever they learn during the phase will shape their future growing up.

Fact for all: The children’s stagnation rate in Malaysia is 20.7% higher than those in West Bank and Gaza (7.4%), which are plagued by violent conflict. Why is that?

Other than the high stagnation rate, Malaysian children are also among the ones facing the risk of obesity due to being less active and unhealthy food intake during the lockdown. With less friends to play with, they resort to the inactive lifestyle – most will stay with their gadgets. The adults, who also seek an outlet to release their stress, might opt to cook unhealthy snacks as it is easier and faster to prepare. And all these become a habit throughout lockdown. These situations further deteriorate the children’s immunity and growth.

Another fact. According to World Health Organisation (WHO), stagnation is not only referring to height, but it also points out health issues rooting from malnutrition, recurring infections, and lack of psychosocial stimulations. Stagnation could also be fatal and causes morbidity.  Thus, the body's immunity is crucial in curbing the problem. And the only way to increase immunity is by ensuring the body receives the complete vitamin and mineral that it needs.

Diffenz Junior Provides Addition Nutrition for Children

Dr. Syid Ayob Syid Mustafa AlQudri, a medical doctor and formulation expert is convinced that the role of food supplements or supplements is very important to supply these insufficient sources of nutrients more easily and quickly. He also believes that taking supplements should not be underestimated especially among children.

Regarding taking supplements, there are opinions saying it is enough to just practice a balanced and natural diet and intake of supplements or vitamins will be wasted when it is excreted. Nevertheless, this opinion may be true if our world is free of pollution whereby practicing a healthy diet with the food consumed is fresh and free from forced contamination (mercury content from fish and pesticide content from vegetables and fruits) in a body that functions beautifully and the immune system is at its highest, and no unnecessary stress while living a healthy lifestyle, is enough.

But is that the case with our children nowadays?

The scenario mentioned above is a far cry from our reality as processed food becoming the ‘new norm’ almost in all households, the pollution is increasing and although everyone wants to live a healthy lifestyle, most couldn’t find a slot in their busy daily life to fit in.

Taking all these into consideration, materializing the help via the scientific discovery and revolution, Eskayvie Diffenz Junior comes into realization. Eskayvie Diffenz Junior has highlighted 6 main ingredients namely Multivitamins & Minerals, Colostrum, Tiger Milk Mushroom, Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Camu-Camu fruit. The combination of these ingredients certainly makes it easier for consumers to get the benefits of the six ingredients with only RM60 per bottle of Eskayvie Diffenz Junior.

The Ingredients

Multivitamin Dan Mineral

According to the Malaysian Child Nutrition Survey (SEANUTS Malaysia), it was found that on average Malaysian children aged 1-6 years eat less than half the amount of fruit and vegetables servings as recommended by the Malaysian Dietary Guidelines for Children and Adolescents (2013).

Thus, the intake of multivitamins and minerals consisting of vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, vitamin B7, vitamin B9, vitamin B12, vitamin D3, calcium, iodine, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, selenium and zinc are very important to meet the nutritional needs required for growth especially for children who are 'picky eater'.

Colostrum

We all know that children are born with low resilience because the immune system is not yet developed. The immune system will develop with each sickness as the body will build antibodies against the germ.

Actually, a more effective way to strengthen a child’s immune system and antibodies is with colostrum intake, rather than exposing them to more diseases.

Colostrum or also known as golden liquid has been studied to boost the immune system and support healthy growth in children. Colostrum is the first milk produced by a mother, whether human or animal in the first few days after giving birth. It is very rich in antibodies and contains various growth factors.

Among the most important contents of colostrum is a protein called Secretory Immunoglobulin A (SIgA). Immunoglobulin is a type of protein that acts as an antibody in the human body and acts as the body's defense system to identify and neutralize foreign objects such as bacteria and viruses. Scientists have already proven that SIgA-type antibodies can fight many types of bacteria, especially bacteria originating from the intestinal system of children.

Vitamin C and vitamin D

A study in France found that about half of children aged seven to 19 had vitamin C intake below the average expected requirement. This is since children and adolescents are at risk of Vitamin C insufficiency due to increasing requirements and less-than-expected intake.

Vitamin C is important as it affects various components of the immune response, and it has anti-viral properties.

Fact: Although vitamin C is easily available in a variety of natural fruits and vegetables, the nutritional value of this vitamin C can be reduced when cooked or stored for too long.

As for Vitamin D, it is important for growth i.e. for bone function, calcium and body metabolism. When you get enough calcium, you also get enough vitamin D. By exposing ourselves to early sunlight, we can get enough Vitamin D. But since school is closed and we were in lockdown, less time is spent outside thus less sunlight and Vitamin D. During normal times, the children are already on their way to school before the sun is up – so less Vitamin D too.

Tiger Milk Mushroom (Lignosus rhinocerus)

This particular mushroom is gaining ground among Malaysians because it contains nutrients that can cure health problems related to the respiratory system such as chronic cough, asthma, sinusitis, fever and flu.

Many researchers admit it grows underground and only its umbrella will come out to the surface of the earth. Sadly, the mushroom is said to be almost extinct and can only be found in certain areas with humid and cold temperatures (especially the Titiwangsa Range).

But now, with the advancement of science and technology, the cultured and commercialised Tiger Milk Mushroom has made it easier for more people to get its benefits. In fact, studies have found that cultured Tiger Milk Mushrooms have a higher nutrient content than those grown wild.
