Monster Hunter, Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Movie Review by Rawlins, Rawlins GLAM, Rawlins Lifestyle

In a world where ships travel the desert just like they did on water and huge monsters lurk beneath the sand, a warrior is separated from his team when their ship is attacked by a Diablos, a huge monster with horns.

In the real-world, Captain Natalie and her team are searching for a missing team of soldiers in the desert when a storm suddenly breaks and pulls them through into the world where the monsters are. There, they found the evidence of the missing soldiers - or what's left of the team. Then they realised that there is something moving towards them underneath the sand. The Hunter, who has been observing them from afar, fires a warning signal.

Some members were killed by the Diablos and the rest hides inside a cave. There, they were attacked by a spider-like monster. Now, everyone is dead except for Captain Natalie, who was earlier bitten by the monster.

The Hunter saves Captain Natalie. Neither speaks the same language. Slowly, Natalie learns to communicate with the Hunter and learns the history of the world she is in now.

Then the Hunter shows and teaches her how to fight using Hunter's unique bladed weapons. They also learn that the Diablos can only be hurt by the venom of the spider-like monster. They devise a trap to kill the Diablos and manages to do so, leaving the Hunter badly wounded.

Natalia carries the Hunter across the desert until she reaches an oasis. There, she encounters a fire-breathing dragon that protects the Sky Tower - a structure that seems to control the portals that are able to transport people and monsters alike to and from both worlds.

In order to return home, Natalie agrees to assist the Hunter and his team to kill the dragon.

Will they be able to kill the dragon and destroy the Sky Tower?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.2/ 5.0 The movie is enjoyable. I understood the characters build up earlier in the movie, and then it seems to be a bit rushed off. If it was not rushed off, I would have enjoyed the movie more.

The plot is predictable - fight or die.

Cast: 4.6/ 5.0 Everyone delivered their parts beautifully. And I was super excited to see the blades light up! And the monsters - I LOVE!

Will I watch it again: I don't mind watching it again.

The pictures are taken from multiple sources on the Internet. Thank you.
