Mary, a successful author of thriller novels, is happily married with twin children. However, it has been quite some time since she last published her novel. When her publishers asks her to write another novel and suggests some changes, Mary pushes them away, as well as their suggestions. The publishers goes away and leaves a two million dollar advance, as a motivation for her to write again.

She declines the offer, but sadly forces to accept the offer when she learns that her husband, Tom is losing his investment.

Her friend Elaine tells her that she needs some time  for herself in order for her to start writing again. Elaine suggests that Mary takes a nanny to take care of her children and some of the house chores so that she can start writing again.

Reluctantly, Mary entertains the idea of having someone looking after her beloved children by interviewing some candidates. One would understand her unwillingness to part from the twins as she had had to spend a lot to conceive them (I think via IVF). The candidates were all unreliable until Grace comes in. And Grace seems perfect for the position.

So the relationship of an employer - employee begins. As time passes, Mary feels that Grace is certainly assisting her with her daily chores and leaves her with so much time to start writing. But she is having  a writer's block.

Slowly, as their relationship blossoms, Mary starts to have sexual fantasies about Grace. She makes her advance towards Grace and it seems that Grace likes the attention. Later, when Mary approaches Grace about the incident and told that it should never happen again, Grace seemingly looks clueless about what Mary is saying.

Their relationships goes on behind closed doors and when nobody is around. It was not until Mary thought that she saw Tom and Grace engaging in a sexual act that Mary loses her temper.

But was it all real or in Mary's imagination? Was Mary realising her soon-to-be-published novel to real life?

MY REVIEW

Plot: 4.0/ 5.0 Even I was questioning whether what happened was her imagination. It was not until towards the end of the movie that the plot unveils and it was a good one too.

Cast: 4.8/ 5.0 Everyone did their part beautifully.

Will I watch it again: I don't mind watching it again in the future.

The pictures are taken from multiple sources on the Internet. Thank you.
